AIPP Tasmanian Festival of Photography

October 29, 2008: The Tasmanian Division of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) will present the 2008 AIPP Tasmanian Festival of Photography over two days in mid-November.

The event takes place at the Salamanca Inn in Gladstone Street, Hobart on Sunday 16 and Monday 17 November, 2008. Three leading Australian photographers, Grant Dixon, David Oliver and Graham Monro, will make presentations during the event, which is open to both AIPP members and non-members. The fee for the two-day event is $130 for AIPP members, $180 for non-members and $50 for students. Season ticket holders will be admitted free.

A free exhibition of Australia's most coveted awards, the AIPP Canon Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs), will follow the festival. This exhibition will be held in the
Waterside Pavilion, Mawsons Place, Hobart and open to the public between 10 am and 6 pm daily. Opening on Tuesday 18 November, it will run until Tuesday 25 November before continuing on to Adelaide and then around the country.
