Advanced Colour Management Courses

July 26, 2008: DES is running two Advanced Colour Management courses at its Sydney headquarters next month.

The courses, which spread over three days, are a blend of discussions, presentations and practical activities. They have been designed for photographers who wish to make their own prints, prepress managers, pressroom personnel, packaging graphics personnel, publishers and brand managers. Topics covered include colour management basics, ICC workflow, display- and scanner-specific colour management, digital camera colour management, calibration, printer colour management, profile evaluation and profile editing.

Participants benefit by being able to use the latest monitors, scanners and proofing printers, as well as calibration, profiling and viewing devices. All participants receive
ColorShop X colour analysis and profile evaluation software  valued at $170, an Eizo Desktop Colour Handbook and screen cleaner kit, a free Chromaticity Australia neoprene carry bag, 30 days free sign-up to The Colour Source knowledge base and a discounted 12-month subscription to Digital Reproduction magazine.
