On a bleak windy day the beach at Stanwell Park on the Illawarra coast of NSW, Australia, was deserted.
Driving from Tathra to Merimbula commenting on the number of termite mounds when my wife yelled STOP! I quickly reversed, grabbed my Sony DSLR and captured this little echidna dining on an endless supply of termites only 3 metres from the road.
