My Gear:
Nikon FG20
Canon IXUS 70 (image shot with this)
Nikon D200
I would love to get a Leica!

Inspirations:
Other photographic artists: Robyn Stacey (my photography teacher in 1988), Brassai, Dora Maar, Rineke Dijkstra, Lisette Model, Diane Arbus, Cindy Sherman, Bill Henson, Ella Dreyfuss, Olive Cotton, lately Michael Riley and my mentor, Sandy Edwards.
My biggest inspiration is my daughter and muse, Yumi.

Aspirations:
To take portraits which capture an inner truth. I hope to develop as an artist, and my goal is to work in the print media in portraiture

My First Photo:
The first one I thought about was in 1983. It was of my sister in dappled sunlight, with a grapevine in the background. I was 19, she was 17.

About This Picture:
This picture was taken with my trusty Canon IXUS 70 which I keep in my handbag. My daughter and I were walking home from swimming lessons. As we walked past the bus depot, the sun was setting. Yumi looked gorgeous with the sun in her hair, so I started taking photos. She then got angry with me.....but I framed it and got the shot.
